Violence on campuses increasingly manifest in a larger number of random assaults, group fights, mass shootings, flash-mob crimes, and vicious one-on-one attacks. Since March, about four women were charged for the murder of other female students. Crime gradually characterizes the modern college experience. Despite security provided, crime and violence rates increased on school campuses. The number of cases increased from 40 during the 1980s to 79 in the 1990s and 83 since 2000. The reason for the increase remains unknown. However, the increase in crime rate occurred in college student enrollment within the previous 20 years. The arrests of females increased more than the arrest of males in the majority of the crime categories between 1991†¦show more content†¦Students targeted by violators may lose self-esteem. They may also undergo depression or anxiety due to the traumatic events. The students involved in violent activities become a nuisance to other students. They may also fail out of school and end up ruining their futures. The goal of every parent is to enroll their children in school so they may develop a better future. Most parents plan on providing tuition, recommendations and support for their children. Numerous parents must now become experts on helping them manage with the result of robbery, rape, and murder. A tragic experience on campus may affect the students’ academics and change their ways of living. Young people experiencing freedom for the first time may become less eager to cooperate in confrontations. Countless students undergo loneliness until they find friends and public activities, which leave them with no support system to help solve problems. Many primary schools report violent incidents concerning females. Social medias create a place for people to terrorize each, which stirs up violence. Every week, there is some sort of violent altercation between females and the arrest of young females for violent crimes.† (Attorney Paul B. Ebert).
